Create a public organization page

A public organization page is the face of your studio on Softonic. It groups every app you publish under one verified identity, gives users a place to discover the rest of your catalog, and adds the kind of authority signal that search engines and AI assistants weigh when they decide what to recommend.

This guide walks through the whole process, from the account requirements to the moment your page goes live, and covers the decisions that are hard to change later: the organization name, the slug and the verification method.

Before you start

You need a Publishing Center account with at least one claimed or uploaded application. Organization pages are only created for publishers with a verified app, which keeps the directory free of empty profiles.

If your application is already published on Google Play or the Apple App Store, it may also be available in the Softonic catalog.

What you will need

  • A square logo of at least 512×512 pixels, PNG or SVG.
  • A one-paragraph description of your organization, ideally under 300 characters.
  • Your public website and, optionally, your support email.
  • Links to your official store listings, so users can cross-check you are the same publisher.

Step by step

  1. Open the Publishing Center and go to Organization in the left menu.
  2. Click Create public page.
  3. Fill in the name, description and logo. The name becomes the page title, so use the name users already know.
  4. Choose the slug. It is part of the URL and cannot be changed without a redirect, so keep it short and stable.
  5. Review the preview and publish.

Choosing a good slug

The slug is the part of the URL after /developer/. A few rules that avoid pain later:

Tip: Treat the organization page like a domain name: pick it once, keep it forever, and let everything else change around it.

Verification

Public pages are only shown for verified organizations. If you claimed your apps with a verification code, the page inherits that status. Otherwise you will be asked for one of the accepted documents. See How to claim ownership of an app on Softonic if you haven’t verified an app yet.

FAQ

Can I have more than one organization?

Yes. Each organization has its own page, and apps can be moved between organizations from the Publishing Center.

How long does it take to appear?

The page is live immediately after publishing. Search engines usually index it within a few days.
