No. Softonic doesn’t take a share of your revenue. If you want extra visibility, you can run optional paid campaigns from your dashboard, but publishing never requires them.

Windows (.exe, .msi, .msix), macOS (.dmg, .pkg) and Android (.apk) files of up to 1 GB, iOS apps through your App Store listing link, and web apps through their URL. Browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox are coming soon.

Many apps join Softonic’s catalog before their developer registers, through a distribution partnership or because they’re publicly available and our content team added them. You can claim the listing for free to manage it yourself. If you hold the rights and don’t want it on Softonic, you can request its removal through a DMCA request.

No. Files and listings on Softonic are original and untouched, and they’re continuously monitored for security. You can read how we verify them in the Security & Trust Center.

Yes. Register for free, find your app and claim it. If your account email matches the one listed for the app, the claim is instant. If it doesn’t, you can verify with a code sent to the app’s contact email, or upload documents that prove you own or are authorized to manage it, which our team reviews by hand.

Yes. You can add new versions and updates of your app from your dashboard whenever you release them. Each one goes through review before it’s published.

Yes. Every submission is scanned by antivirus engines and checked against our publishing requirements. Your submission shows as pending review, accepted or rejected, and if it’s rejected you receive an email explaining why.

A signature lets users and Softonic verify who published a file and that it hasn’t been altered. Windows and Mac executables must be signed by a verifiable certificate authority, and Android APKs with your Google Play distribution key, the same one used for the release on Google Play.

Yes. Your dashboard shows your apps’ traffic, downloads and regions, so you can see how they perform on Softonic.
